Hola PH friends - during the lockdowns in 2020 me and my good friend Conor got bored and decided in our infinite wisdom to try to make a consumer social app. The initial genesis for the idea was to create a better place to argue online. A content format where ideas/videos/talents were in direct competition and people could vote on their favorites with the winners getting access to the best real estate in the app. Thus was born Fuego. An app organised around 'threads' that are owned by 1 person at a time but change hands based on what the community love the most. It's simple - if you post first on #finn - you own #finn - I can reply to you but only you can reply to me - if my reply gets more Fuego than your post then every day it kicks off a competition where I can win control of it. Anyone can reply to the thread owner, only the thread owner can reply to everyone else. To stop people endlessly upvoting your Fuego is like a currency - you earn it by winning threads and by watching posts - the more you watch the more influence you have over what's popular. We obviously had too much time on our hands in lockdown and when things got back to normal we sidelined the project. But we decided last week to give it one more sprint and launch it to the world. This is just for fun. plz don't take us too seriously.
