Just posted this to see what would happen, didn't think this project would be PH's flavor and reach it to the homepage; honored to have had that happen, thank you guys! A little bit of background; like much of the community here, I've always been passionate about building things. Aaaaand very much like the rest of you, I've failed plenty a time. I'm well acquainted with the PH-graveyard, several of my products are currently resting in it (R.I.P. 🙏). Fractals initially got traction on Kickstarter ("Fractal Filters" would be the search query, if you're so inclined), and eventually turned into a full on company. For me, it's a testament to the fact that normal people like myself can do not-so-normal things with persistence and grit. It's really hard to build something that people genuinely like; and it's equally hard (if not harder) to turn that into a real business. I failed miserably at both for, well, quite a while. Trying to find the right idea and then product market fit can feel like a dark tunnel. I think it is important to keep your eyes open, and enjoy the ride. The right idea may not come today, or tomorrow, but; if you pay attention, and are persistent, I believe it will eventually come.
