Hi everyone! I´m Fernando, the editor/curator at Foundcy.
9 years ago I launched Foundcy V1. It grew pretty fast, people were hooked and getting value from it. I had to let it die after just 8 months because I was unable to keep paying Mailchimp when we reached +2,800 subs, so it was an unnatural death.
You can check the original launch here: https://www.producthunt.com/prod...
I´m relaunching the idea to validate if curation is still valuable in 2024.
As an MVP nothing beats a newsletter (wink wink Product Hunt) as an early version of a possible product, so that´s what you´ll find by now.
Let me know if what I´m building adds value to you as a founder, VC, operator (design/product/growth people), or startup enthusiast.
Also, your feedback as subscribers will be invaluable in building a solid product... you´ll have a voice on what Foundcy does next!
"What are founders reading" is phase one. Other verticals on the horizon: what are designers reading, what are UXers reading, what are VCs reading, etc...
Thanks for being here!
FAQs
Q. Will founders be able to add directly what they read?
A. In V1 (2015) I invited founders to send me links so I could publish them but the content quality was impacted negatively, so no, the editor/curator will scan the founder´s timeline to discover the best she/he has read and shared, we´ll do the hard part. Anyone can suggest posts using a form but articles will be reviewed before.
We discover that when you open the gates for everyone, the quality diminishes even when they want to collaborate in good faith.
