Forward Thinking City is a virtual city for anyone to join and break into startups. In the city, any founder is able to join our Slack community, request intros to VCs in our community, and attend one of dozens of events we put on weekly.
I started my podcast, Forward Thinking Founders, almost two years ago. I was a nobody in tech, but through 350 interviews with the likes of Austen Allred, Eric Ries, Kristen Anderson and many more, I slowly broke into SF in the cloud. Two months ago, I thought "why couldn't I enable this for anyone in the world?". So, enter Forward Thinking City.
Forward Thinking City is a place for any founder to come, join, contribute, and learn from the most talented group of founders I've been a part of in recent years. In Forward Thinking City, you can:
- Attend one of dozens of events every week, like our founder AMAs
- Engage with other residents on Slack
- Request an intro to VCs in our network
- Do office hours with city leaders
- Get access to our paid substack, for free.
The whole point of Forward Thinking City is what if we could lower the barrier to break into startups, for anyone in the world? This is not an invite only platform. This is not exclusive. We are open to all who are ready to join, I will see you on the other side.
@dylan_brookes Hey, absolutely thanks for asking. We have a tool that we built called "intro". The idea is that you request an intro to any investor you want, and we accept the intro and send it to the VC, or reject it and send you feedback. You can access this feature, once you become a resident, right here: https://www.forwardthinking.city...
Awesome! I'm running a hardware startup from home and as a non-us based solo founder, this experience is super alienating. Really great initiative and can't wait to try it.
