Great Idea! I was very excited and thought it was incredibly useful. I paid for a pro account and this has been my experience:
Their support area returns a 404. They don't answer the phone number provided at the bottom of receipts. They haven't answered my emails for three days. It has been a horrible experience... I am now blocked on multiple tasks... after arguing it's usefulness to my company.
- I cant generate the content after capturing on either Chrome or Edge (Ive tried on both Windows and mac)
- I tried to do a work around and html capture....it won't generate the GIF.
- I can't do the link or embedded video because they force a folio demo button at the top right of the video (you cant remove it unless you pay the highest tier) - who would even want that at the top of their video? it's wildly unprofessional looking.
THIS IS WILDLY BAD SERVICE!
Demos are crucial to being able to sell through your website. I would try to get people who already have a product out there to pay for this solution. Very early-stage are not really worried about displaying a demo most times...
Coooool!! Folio is really helpful for user onboarding. One of the amazing features that attracts me is recording complex interactions as video.
Now with zooming, I think it can even replace screen studio in many situations.
