Low contrast text is the most common accessibility issue and affects 86.4% of pages. This free extension based on technology developed for Polypane (https://polypane.app) automatically fixes contrast issues on any site you visit.
In Polypane, I've made it really easy to fix these color contrast issues, with an algorithm that finds contrast issues and automatically suggests the nearest color with enough contrast.
That's really helpful for all the (awesome, amazing and good looking) people building sites with Polypane, but I realized I could use the same code that powers the algorithm and just, well, fix all the contrast issues on any site you visit.
So this free browser extension does just that: install it and you never have to deal with unreadable text again.
Update! The extension is now also available for Opera. Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Brave, Vivaldi and Opera are now all supported.
@adityavsc Nice huh! On sites with enough contrast you won't notice its there, and on other it will just gently bump the colors that need it up to the minimum of your choice.
@michalmalewicz@kilianvalkhof damn, if Michal thinks this is a good idea, then it is a winner. Follow this guy on youtube for amazing videos, and as soon as I can manage cash I am buying his new course
@kilianvalkhof@tor_bot Thanks! Appreciate it! :) I believe in on-demand accessibility - i.e. not forced high contrast for everyone, but letting the users choose (or use their system settings even)
