🔒 Privacy-First
End-to-end encryption, no message bodies stored, and AI only works in RAM before wiping data clean.
Over to you: What’s your biggest email headache right now, and which Filo feature would save you the most time? Can’t wait to hear your thoughts! 🚀
I have just skimmed the App Store preview and Filo looks like the inbox makeover I’ve been hunting for: Ai automatic “turn this email into a to-do” is a huge killer-feature, especially baked into a clean mobile UI. ⚡️
A few thoughts after reading the feature list:
Privacy and storage: are messages processed on-device, or do they route through your cloud first? A line on encryption and retention would help enterprise users breathe easy.
Account coverage: today’s screenshots show Gmail; is generic IMAP or Outlook support on the near-term roadmap? Lots of corporate users still live in Microsoft land.
Task hand-off: any chance of pushing those extracted to-dos into Apple Reminders or Noteplan, or Notion? Keeping a single source of tasks prevents double bookkeeping.
Voice and style learning: smart replies are great, but can Filo adapt to a user’s writing tone over time so the suggestions feel less templated?
Send-later/follow-up nudge: pairing AI drafting with scheduled send and automatic bump reminders would close the loop for sales folks.
Anyway, I love the “noise-free inbox” ethos; hope to insert Filo as the main email tool in my toolbox! 🚀
@gianmaria_caltagirone hi G, great to get your feedback! i shared it with the team and it really lifted everyone’s spirits. i’ll go through the points you raised one by one:
1. security is super important to us. your emails go through google’s api and filo doesn’t store them. here’s a clearer data protection note: https://www.filomail.com/data-protection
2. yes, imap is on our roadmap—stay tuned for next month’s release.
3. syncing with third parties is also planned. for todos, we’re working on smarter, more personalized improvements.
4. awesome idea! we’ll start with a writing style tweak feature where you can give examples or preferences for ai to match your tone—of course, only with your permission.
5. got it, your request’s in the backlog.
thanks again for your support! hope Filo helps you grab some chill time—that’s what matters most.💆
@xw great job, team! 🙏 I’ll use Filo for a bit and then share my thoughts.
My ideal workflow would be: set an automatic reminder with ChatGPT → send it to my email → have Filo automatically plan out my day.
Let’s enhance those features, keep up the great work! 🚀
@pritraveler great to hear from you! filo was built to block out noise without missing anything important. down the road, we'll add a few todo notification options—like daily new todo reminders with customizable push times. we chose to send just one daily push instead of one for every todo to keep interruptions minimal. hope you keep following us and enjoy using filo!
First off, thank you for being here. Whether you found us through Product Hunt, word of mouth, or pure serendipity, we're thrilled to have you join our growing community of email efficiency enthusiasts.
I’ve been using Filo Mail for a few weeks now, and it’s been a refreshing change from the usual email chaos. The minimalist design and AI-powered features—especially the smart to-do extraction and thread summarization—have made managing my inbox effortless. It’s like having a personal assistant that keeps my focus on what really matters. Of course it is still in its early stage, but since it's free for all, why not give it a try?
I almost forgot about a bill until Filo nudged me – huge thanks for that! Still playing around with everything it can do, but so far, this app is a total win
Hi everyone, I’m Chris, the founder of Filo Mail.
I’ve always felt that dealing with emails—whether for work or personal life—can be unnecessarily overwhelming. That’s why we built Filo: to help people simplify, organize, and respond to emails faster and more effortlessly.
Our goal isn’t just to improve productivity for business users, but to make email more manageable for everyone—from sorting through bills and reservations to staying on top of personal to-dos.
We’re still early, and there’s a lot we’re working on. I’d be truly grateful if you give Filo a try and share your thoughts—we’re building this for you. Thank you!

I love the simplicity of FiloMail!
Can your app send any notification of to-dos?
