In order to speed up development, reduce bugs, and shorten the feedback loop, my go to was to implement "review apps". This would be accomplished by hosting a build of your feature branch on a server somewhere, so a URL could simply be shared with stakeholders for testing _before merging to the mainline_. While this generally isn't expensive, it can be time consuming to set up and always hits the "custom domain" barrier some apps require.
Enter Eyas. It allows a dev to bundle their code for testing and send it to folks to review who have the Eyas desktop app installed. It is currently actively used by a company who's POs and QA teams have expressed great appreciation for the time they've gained, and the ability to test on their own independent of other work.
Developers like myself don't apply much value to this tool though, as it doesn't fill an immediately visible need. So, if you are dev, please take the time to assess this tool through the lens of the rest of your team.
If you are curious about the name, it is taken from the following description: "a young falcon or hawk taken from the nest for training."
