A dream come true for UFO enthusiasts! 🛸 How does Enigma verify sightings to filter out hoaxes or misidentifications?
Enigma
@desmond_ren1 Great question, Desmond! In short, we use a mix of machine learning, human moderation, and crowdsourced intelligence when processing each submission.
First, sightings are automatically scored by a multivariate model that computes many factors, largely around object identification, confidence in the event occurring as described, and how anomalous the behavior of the UAP was.
Next, a moderator reviews the sighting to determine whether it satisfies our criteria. We believe that researchers benefit from more data than less, so moderators are responsible for filtering out hoaxes and misidentifications rather than determining the object’s origin.
We also listen to our enthusiastic community! You’ll find passionate debate in our comment sections, which we tap into when controversial submissions arise.
Finally, we’re working on a variety of ways to make the product more intelligent. This includes layering in satellite, FAA, and drone data to deconflict reports quicker and provide additional context for our community.
Thanks for your support!

This reminds me of all those horror stories about UFOs I have heard and watched as a kid. :D such nostalgia.
Interesting :D

We loved those stories too,@busmark_w_nika! We're huge fans of NOVA on PBS, who featured us in January 😉
