Duplicate Word Finder

Hey Producthunters! 👋 I'm Bence aka finnhvman, creator of Duplicate Word Finder. I've made the first version of Duplicate Word Finder on CodePen more than 4 years ago. It's my most popular creation there and I've been receiving comments on how to improve it. I finally brought myself to rebuild it from scratch a few weeks ago and here it is now! I took this opportunity to think about what other ways can I make this tool better beyond incorporating the suggested functionalities. First of all I've put it on its own domain and made it a PWA, so you can install it as an app (on phone or Chrome on desktop)! Second, I made sure that its layout adapts well to smaller screens like phones and tablets. Third, I've improved contrast of highlight colors and even implemented dark mode! Make sure to check it out, I'm quite proud of it! 😊 Lastly, if you're interested in its future, would you let me know which of the following features would be the most beneficial to you? - Exclude list for words: maintain a list of words that would never be highlighted - Phrase detection: look for groups of words instead of singular words - Lemmatization: consider the different forms of the same word when highlighting - Any other ideas?

I love this tool so much! It's so simple, yet there's nothing else quite like it. I use it to detect duplicate hashtags when preparing to post on Instagram. The word count feature makes it easy to stay under 30 hashtags. Before I had to use a combination of two different tools and it was annoying and cumbersome to copy and paste every time. I've been dreaming about a tool like this for the past 9 years since I started posting on Instagram for my business daily. Thank you Bence for finally creating a SIMPLE tool that detects duplicate words! I use this multiple times every day already.
