Droplens lets you import and organize camera photos and videos in one click. Define folder structure and filenames using metadata like resolution, frame rate, bit depth or other — and let the app do the automatic import and organization for you.
Hey Community!
I’m Kostiantyn, the maker of Droplens — a tiny macOS app I built to solve a problem I kept running into as a photo and video hobbyist.
Every time I imported media from my camera, I found myself repeating the same routine: creating folders, checking metadata, organizing files manually… just to keep things organized for easier search and editing.
So I built Droplens to automate that process.
What it does:
• Imports photos and videos from SD cards or USB-connected cameras
• Automatically organizes them into folders based on metadata (like resolution, frame rate, bit depth, aperture, etc.)
• Lets you set up custom filename and folder patterns for photos and videos
• Supports one-click import and smart duplicate handling.
It’s designed to be minimal, fast, and practical — perfect for creators who want a clean media workflow without complex tools.
🖥 It’s available for free on the Mac App Store
