I often have this need when walking my dog outside, and I really love this product. It would be even better if it could also recognize cute cats-I love both cats and dogs.
It’s a beautiful app, but it needs a lot of work. Let’s start with the good things: the UI is fantastic, it reminds me of pixel games that was probably the intention. Everything from the introduction popups to the dog cards/profiles is graphically fantastic.
Now the bad parts. I’m unable to identify a single dog with this app. I always get a network error, no matter which internet connection I use or which photo I submit. The worst part? There’s no “retry” button, just “retake” or “cancel”. It’s extremely frustrating having to take a new photo after patiently waiting and getting errors over and over. I tried with a different dog and there was no “network error”, which tells me the app gives a network error even when the dog is not recognised.
Last but not least, is there a way to disable the automatic unlocking every 24 hours? I’m planning to use this app to keep track of the dogs I’m dog sitting, and this feature would completely defeat this use case. Still, it’s a great app and you did a really good job.
I just hope to see some fixes and updates in the near future because Dogmon has potential!

I’m sorry for the unclear error messages and the lack of a proper retry button. That’s definitely something I’ll work on fixing to make the experience smoother. Also, your suggestion to add an option to disable the automatic unlocking is a great idea, and I’ll include it in a future update.
