@andrewmettinger and @nivo0o0 showed me the original version... It was annoying then. Now it's definitely going to be overdone and become tedious.
You could always use this to create your own... but couldn't you just do it using Snapchat like the guys did initially?
Wonder if this phase has already peaked?
@bentossell@andrewmettinger@nivo0o0 valid points. I can tell you first hand it that it got pretty annoying in the 24 hour period while we were working on it.
You could do it like snapchat but then you have to edit everything together and it just seems like a lot more work. With this, it's just point and shoot and everything is stitched together. I found it pretty fun to play around with.
My borther's a freshman in highschool and he says everyone's still buzzing about it. I've shown it to friends and they were amused by it. Even Jimmy Kimmel referenced it in his Trump impression tonight.
I think there's still some steam behind it. Let's see if this puts it back on top again. (:
@aasatt@andrewmettinger@nivo0o0 ha as much as its great you've built something I really do not hope this Damn Daniel thing gets surfaced haha (no reflection on you of course!)
"Damn, Daniel." If you haven't heard the phrase at least 50 times within the past week, then I can assure you that your time will come soon, because Daniel and his white Vans have pretty much taken over the Internet. Two of us Koders had a few hours to spare while waiting for a customer decision and decided to challenge ourselves to build an iOS app from concept to App Store submission in less than 24 hours. The final result was the Damn Daniel app for iPhone and iPad all in at a little under 16 hours. Not well polished but time/speed was of the essence.
Check out this fun experiment and let us know your thoughts and if you happen to share your own #damndaniel video, post the link in the comments.
