Dabble is a great tool for writing a manuscript. I love the "in the zone" (I'm calling it that, they don't call it that lol) that lets you really focus on what you're writing and not the side panels. My only wish is that they would create a way for you to organize your stories into an anthology but it really is great how it is! Thanks Dabble!
I've used Dabble on and off for about a year, and I keep coming back to it because of how many features it has and how easy it is to use. I love having my plot grid, notes, and plans all in one place, and Dabble does it all without being overwhelming. I love this program!!
I’ve been using Dabble since 2018 and have written two full novels using the softwares. I LOVE the organizational tools like notecards and drag-and-drop functionality, and the team is adding more features all the time! I can now edit my books on my phone and seamlessly pick up where I left off when I’m back at my computer. I love it.
As a novelist, I focus primarily on story structure. I have found Dabble to be totally in sync with my focus on structure. I was able to start using it from the first time without struggling with a big learning curve. I have used it on several projects and I continue to find it to be of great benefit in developing story structure.
Love Dabble! And new features make me love it even more. Far easier to use than Scrivener!
I’ve tried so many different writing software programs and this is hands down the best. I love the features for plotting and making notes, character descriptions, and being able to move the plot around when I always go in a different direction. I tried Scrivener but the learning curve was just way too much for me. When I tried out Dabble, I found it was everything I needed from Scrivener but on a super easy level for a tech challenged person like me. I immediately subscribed and am so happy I did. I’ve also used the co-write feature and love it. It has everything we needed to make a great book together. The customer service is spectacular. When I accidentally deleted an entire chapter, they were able to recover it for me and we’re so polite and professional.
I’ve used Dabble ever since 2019. I loved the features of Scrivener but hated the aesthetics of it and how difficult it was to sync between computers, and because I was frequently moving around I never used it. Dabble is the perfect mix of all the features I love about Scrivener with the ease of access and synchronization I got from writing on Gdocs. I’ve watched it grow for a bit and with every iteration it becomes something even better. It’s no understatement to say that Dabble is the reason I started writing again.
I started using Dabble during National Novel Writing Month 2021, and I now have a 70,000 work in progress on Dabble. The interface is so clean and distraction free, and the tracking feature keeps me motivated. I can keep my notes and story in one place. The only thing I felt was missing was the ability to add images, and this new feature I will be added soon.
I have been using Dabble for over two years. I love it. I have watched several presentations about Scrivener and settled on Dabble because it does everything I want, is less confusing and has a much shorter learning curve. I have never regretted my decision. In the past two years I have watched Jacob build a team, improve the service and have experienced nothing but personal and helpful customer service. I love Dabble, I really do.
