A friend asked me to create a CV for her, when I was asking her the questions I needed to create the CV, the idea of CV Bot came to mind.

@timchosen Well done Tim! this is a great use of chatbots. i can just answer a few questions and boom my CV is done! I only have a few suggestions for improvement before this can be a serious tool. The end design of the CV needs to be 10x better as is i couldnt send the final cv to any potential employer id have to edit the design eslewhere. If you could choice themes and layouts at the end that would be amazing. perhaps working with a designer might help? Excited to see the development of CV Bot though. i think its a cool tool with a large market and a potential for aquistion with enough polish. Do let me know your thoughts!

@jetboyparker Thanks Parker, I must say this is a really insightful feedback. For the UX like you rightly prompted, I am a backend guy, I will def be working with a frontend person for the next version. There is in the works a provision for a web CV link - that can be shared and downloaded with/by HR or employer. New Version will have more themes and layout, color and font size options among others. @timchosen You're most welcome! I really like the idea. Do keep me updated if possible in regards to the next round. The best thing in design is providing but limiting choices. if you have a set of themes that instantly whip the information into form it would make the process so much faster and cognitively easier. This could unlock the possibility of a marketplace for themes and designers could make CV themes for CvBot. Also have you thought of adapting it into a facebook messenger bot? for ease of discoverability.

The bot is a good concept, though the language it manages and the ux could be improved a lot

Pros:

It's a fun way to spend time creating your CV and has some cool explanation

Cons:

The conversation isn't natural, messages pop out instantaneously which makes it lose the "conversation" part of the chatbot, long proces

Thanks Daniel for trying out the product, I appreciate this feedback a lot. The convo part is currently in my todo list and will definitely be improved. UX - I am a back-end guy and had to take design course with freecodecamp to even get this far... Will definitely look into that as well - do you happen to have any suggestions about the specifics or areas of the UX and willing to share?
