Couverture is an easing curve editor that supercharges your animations in apps, mockups and websites. Easing or timing curves are made to specify the rate of change in an animation over time. The app lets you edit and preview those curves in realtime.
Hi, I’m Martin, an indie developer from Berlin. 👋 I built an easing curve editor for macOS called Couverture. It levels up your animation game.
How I got there 👇
Great animations are the couverture in the design of top-notch user interfaces, websites and apps. One common way to define animations is through easing curves. Easing or timing curves specify the rate of change in an animation over time. Without a proper editor and a live-preview it’s almost impossible to create such animations. Lucky for you, Couverture just arrived on the Mac App Store!
Since I’m an indie dev for years now my need for custom easing curves grew bigger and bigger. Couverture started as an internal tool for myself two years ago in the dawn of SwiftUI. It was my secret little helper to build top-notch animations in all of my apps. It was just recently that I’ve realised that other designers and developers may find it useful for their design process too!
Can’t wait to hear what you think about it! 🫶
@dima_shpak It’s an easing curve editor! Those curves specify the rate of change in an animation over time. Couverture lets you edit, manage and export those curves, i.e. for programming and design.
