👋 Hello Product Hunters, We’re excited to share our brand spanking new email app, Courier hot off the grill 🍔. Courier is built on a super fancy machine learning engine that summarizes and categorizes email as you receive it. Our goal is to reduce the physical amount of email you read by about 30% by parsing out all the unimportant parts and highlighting things that matter. It’s a completely new way to read email quickly without the need to teach you how to use a single new feature. If Courier helps you spend 15-20 minutes more with a loved one, or catch an extra wave at Ocean Beach, or play with puppies every week instead of reading email, I’d call that a win. 🔑🙏 Cool stuff you get to play with: - Inbox summaries: Read the essentials without opening a message - Emoji categories: Filter your messages by 💬 or 🤖 in two taps - Task detection: Courier scans your conversational messages and highlights items that need your attention - Spotlighted email: Read the most salient information from your flights and purchases without leaving your Inbox - Threaded summaries: Quickly catch up on an email chain - Specialized push notifications: Read a meaningful summary and not just a snippet. We use emojis to let you know what kind of message has arrived - All the normal stuff email does Things you should know: - We only support Gmail - We only support iOS - We only support US and Canada regions - We’re only good at summarizing English email. If a majority of your email content is in another language Courier won’t be able to save you much time. Sorry. Stuff we already know we need to do: - Fix bugs - Better iPad support - Exchange support (we know, we know) I’ve spent about 7 years thinking about email and the last 2 building Courier with a talented team of mad scientists. I was wondering why you launched it on August 21. Then it dawned on me for AI to work correctly it requires Dark Crystal Moon Energy at it's most potent form. I'm looking forward to saving time and Light Crystal Moon Energy from reading too many emails.

So everybody thinks of emoji as fun and/or cute, which is true, but their also a short form communication system that (so long as everybody's on the same page) can make make transmitting and digesting information super efficient. I've been seeing demos of this app for a while and it's pretty amazing. The summaries are excellent, the interactions are nice. It's like a giant super brain making brilliant decisions in the back end, with cute little emoji slapped on the front. Can't wait to be finally using it full time.
