Hi! Chris from compatipal here. I just wanted to build something I would like to have myself: A simple and easy way to find people that share my interests/niche hobbies/general craziness. The main problems I faced were: Where do you find people when you spend 95% of your time at home/work? And: I believe part of the reason, why I don't want to talk to just anybody I meet on the street is not because I'm an introvert, but rather because it's highly inefficient to talk to hundreds of people and spend hours of awkward conversation just to maybe find one that I can get along with. Let me know what you think!

Hey Chris, interesting vision. One of the big issues with sites such as yours, is that normally not a ton of marketing has been done prior to launch so the website starts with 200 members for example. Then I visit your site and I'm either turned off with the fact that I need to sign up before seeing anything about current members or whether or not anyone lives in my proximity (which is the case for me now), or I sign up and see that there is no one or there are very few people around, so I close and never come back.

@footer Thank you for the feedback! No, really. It helps! You are right, we need far more users. Currently it's hard to find like-minded people very close to you. But you can find like-minded people! Right now I'm talking to somebody from another continent that I messaged on compatipal.com, because I liked his tags ... and turns out, we are very similar in many ways - and to me that connection is already more valuable, than 10 acquaintances in my proximity.
