@abadesi Great question! CoinMarketCap is the biggest cryptocoin index and they have been struggling to meet demand over the last 12-months. That being said, CoinGenome is a real-time version of CMC with a social element that pulls Data from multiple index APIs and exchanges. People can follow, discuss, and now chart their favorites cryptocurrencies.

@aviggiano 👍 the real-time Data is being collected from multiple index’s (Including CMC) and large cryptocurrency exchanges. The more data the better 😉 Thoughts on the forum or follow features?

Hey, looks great. How do you combine the data from CMC and exchanges? I understand exchange data are usually volume weighted, how do CMC data fit into that? Another question, why is there ID verification section in the user backend?

@_karlvonbahnhof CMC data is a good resource for charts and exchange data is great for real time prices. The goal is to merge them together on one index. Right now most of the data is coming from other indexes. Real-time data for 2k coins is tricky. The ID verification was a test from our admin panel. If you apply you’ll be approved without ID that shouldn’t be showing😮 so thanks for pointing that out 😮

@stvmcg ok, that does not sound like a great data integrity :D i understand it's a lot of data though. i'd just like to see a tool that is not dependent on CMC and maybe has a couple of meaningfully created indexes (some places have the option to exclude korea for instance).
