Code&Line is a note-taking app designed for developers to provide a more detailed understanding of their code. Its core feature allows users to target specific code lines with each note, aiming for a line-by-line explanation of the snippet.
Hello everyone, Iβm Berra. ππ»
I am super excited to introduce you to my first project, Code&Line.
Code&Line is a note-taking app designed for developers to explain their code snippets line-by-line.
Failing to explain a line of code that you wrote in a technical interview is a very humbling experience, which made me realize the importance of each line. But letβs be honest, programming notes can easily turn into a pile of information that is hard to comprehend over time, especially if youβre explaining every line. Code&Line is designed to tackle this problem.
If the following scenario applies to you, Code&Line may help you take better notes.
- **You want to** explain what each line does in your code
- **without** cluttering your code with inline comments
- **but still** be able to understand which note targets which line.
As a self-taught developer, taking notes is an essential part of my journey, I hope this product will be useful to others as well.
Looking forward to hearing your feedback β€οΈ
Hey Berra, I checked out the website and the project looks interesting. π
Wanted to share 2 things with you
Add Auth (Github, Google) cause if a site doesn't have that kind of Auth I usually don't sign up, and I think if I do that your potential clients/users would do the same thing π
I see you published the code but you haven't added any license to the repo yet or I couldn't find it, that means I can take your code and commercialize it on my own, or do whatever I want with it including suing you, or start any kind of beef. (If you want to share it with everyone you should use GPL) βοΈ
Hello, @feli_prado. Appreciate your feedback. You're right about Auth, I noticed that a lot of people leave the app without signing up with the current auth flow.
About the GPL, I wasn't aware of the potential problems that you mentioned. Thanks for bringing it up! I am looking into this now π
