Hello product hunt! I am so pumped to share Clik with you all. Here's how we got here 👇 Eight years ago I got my first camera in college - a Canon T3. I quickly became the “friend with the camera,” and couldn’t help bringing my camera to parties, group events, traveling, etc. I fell in love with capturing moments for others, but I never had a good way to share photos. Sharing photos with friends was annoying and sharing photos with strangers was impossible. It truly broke my heart when these amazing moments would go unshared. Two years ago I was at a point where I literally began losing sleep over this problem. Engineer by day, photographer night, I knew how to build solutions, and I intimately knew the problem of photo sharing. I felt in my gut I was here on this planet to solve this problem. So, I moved to NYC and quit my job at GM to become a freelance photographer. I hustled hard to figure out how to pay rent in NYC with my camera, and started to develop my vision for Clik. I discovered there was a HUGE problem in the event photography space. IRL events had begun blowing up post covid and UGC content had become the gold standard for brand awareness, but there was STILL no good way to share photos. I partnered with my co-founder to start prototyping a tool that would help photographers deliver personalized photo galleries to event guests using AI. After 18 months of testing various prototypes, I have photographed around 200 events in NYC and delivered around 100,000 photos through various Clik prototypes to event goers. Event goers LOVE finding their photos from pro photographers on Clik, but many asked “Can I share the photos too?”. This question led us to a realization - every guest is a photographer now, not just the pros. We all capture moments worth sharing, but very rarely find the photos we are in. This is why we built Clik for consumers. We just launched on the app store and you can use Clik totally for free for a limited time. Here is how it works. 1 - Create an album 2 - Invite friends via QR or link to join via iOS App Clip - friends can share photos without downloading the app! 3 - Share photos through the in-app camera (kinda like snapchat) 4 - Photos are automatically shared to one central album while our AI notifies you of photos you appear in. I am here to ask you for feedback. It would mean the world to us if you gave Clik a try and let us know what you love or hate, or where you’d personally like to use Clik to share photos? Thank you in advance, The Clik Team

I've seen a poll somewhere that went "name the things that feel like begging even though they are not," and asking friends for photos after joint outings made it to the top. The issue here is totally relatable :D I'm curious about a couple of things: - Is AI only used for face recognition, or is there something else? - If my face shows up in photos taken by other users (not from my existing friend circle), will Click notify me? Does being friends matter in this case? - Copyright/Attribution: I guess copyright probably isn't a big deal with close friends' photos. But what about professional pics? Photographers definitely would like a shoutout if the pic gets shared later. Does Click have anything to support attribution? P.S. Congrats on the launch! The app looks slick, I hope to give it a proper test this weekend

@eltairovy we agree... it's a huge problem worth solving. -Right now we only use the AI for face detection/matching. But, we may have some other AI-powered features on the radar!! -As of now you would be added to an album if you appear in anyone's photos. We feel that if you appear in a photo you probably should know about it. That said, we can add additional filters to our sharing algorithm if this is something users ask for. Would you want to see a feature where you can toggle and ONLY share/add people that you are friends with? -Our web platform actually has a link to the photographers IG on every album. We'll add this to our iOS at some point too. As a photographer myself I certainly want to make sure photographers get the attribution they deserve. Can't wait to hear what you think! Feel free to email me conner@clik.photos any feedback
