Their search engine allows you to quickly and easily see both sides of any news story, with clear and detailed information about the political slant of the reporting agency and how factual the actual content of any given article is, before you even start to read it. You can even filter out news from sources that are behind a paywall so that you know that every search result you see is accessible to you. I really can't recommend The Factual enough, regardless of your ideology. No matter where you fall on the political spectrum, you will find their services to be invaluable. In addition to their search tools, The Factual also has other features available such as a daily news digest email, and a news evaluator add-in for chrome. You simply will not find a better source for news, anywhere.
I was so raw from the 2020 election that I started avoiding the news, but I want to be informed. The Factual was the perfect solution. No clickbait, advertising, or political bias. Just accurate credible news at a price everyone can afford. I was so taken with the mission that I asked if I could volunteer. To my surprise and delight, The Factual said yes!

This is just great.. a means to easily to inform myself without having to first figure out where the good information actually is.
This is awesome. I've been a subscriber to The Factual for a few years now, so I'm already a big fan of the algorithm that gives me simple, streamlined access to credible news. (It's a major stress-reliever to see at a glance the political leaning, quality grade, etc and not worry that I'm consuming bias instead of facts.) I just took the new search bar for a whirl and I LOVE it! As a basic feature, it's just great to be able to search for something I want to read more about, but the bonus feature I love is the ability to exclude articles that are behind paywalls. (No more beginning a preview of an article I can't finish without paying!!!)
The Factual is a great resource for doing news research on topics that have lots of noise over the internet. Not only is it useful for politically charged topics such as covid or climate change, sometimes if you simply want factual, technical news on, say, a company that you are researching as a vendor candidate or investment partner, The Factual should be part of your arsenal.
I love this app. Let me repeat that. I love this app. The Factual has a goal of presenting the news from both sides with a focus on the facts. It provides articles from both sides of the aisle so that readers can make their own judgement and interpretations. It aggregates stories through a "latest feature", but also provides a daily digest for those who just want a summary. Both are extremely easy to use. Importantly, there is also a vibrant discussion community with daily polls that allow readers to engage in discourse on timely topics. If you are looking to educate yourself on pressing news issues while cutting through the bias, this app is for you.
The Factual is my go-to resource for unbiased topical news. The search feature is a nice addition to an already great product.
