CLI to encrypt text locally. The popular use case is to solve "Forgot Password" problem securely. It encrypts simply locally. Highly user friendly for developers.
Hi All,
How many time do we deal with "Forgot Password", I do that on almost daily basis and waste tonnes of my time just to login. We developers use so many services online not just for personal use but for professional use as well(hosting, code repositories, tools, apis etc.), it becomes too complicated to use new passwords and remember them when we need them. Well, what about online password manager like LastPass. The thing is it's insecure, I wouldn't take the risk of storing my passwords on someone else's server. Never.
This is why I created Chaabi, it's a simple command line tool to store secret text locally. No fuss!
Password management is one big use case, there can be many others as well.
It's a non-profit, open source initiative, I'm looking for more people to pitch in.
Looking forward to the response from ProductHunt community.
Thanks
