Tried several VR cam/video recorders. This records the highest source quality mp4 video files. SBS (Side by Side) format. For non-VR cams this records too at highest source quality. Owner/dev does his own customer service. Generous, patient and helpful even with sketchy payments. Despite some site bans from like Reddit and Patreon, this product is solid. Glad I stumbled on this before Reddit/Patreon pages got lost. Also known as CamTrove (yeah, really hard to remember and awkward name). The dev is obviously not good at marketing but the software is 10/10 of all VR & 2d cam capable recorders I have seen, output file quality wise.
Amazing app, the fact you're able to record VR Cams is just mind-blowing. Used to be a little buggy but now it's stable. It is getting better day by day with the updates. More updates brings new features, less bugs so I'm always waiting for those announcements. Overall, I would recommend this app if you want to record VR Cams or Non-VR Cams. And definitely do join the discord as its a great community and they help out all the time

A very useful feature is that it generates a grid-style image where you can quickly preview the recorded content, making it easy to assess whether the content meets your preferences. In terms of system resources, it doesn’t consume as much as other options, so I definitely recommend the application.

Nice cam recording software. Supports all my favorite webcam sites. Easy to use Nice features Great support by the developer on discord. Continuous improvements. This cam recording software is a keeper. It keeps on getting better as the developer listen to its customers and makes improvements to make the software better.
Something I've been looking for for quite some time. It does exactly what it says it does. It allows you to record both VR and non-VR cam streams in full quality. You can record dozens of streams at once and there's a handy review tab built into the program that has screencaps for the videos you recorded so you can quickly review your recordings without having to manually scroll through the video using a video player. CaptureGem currently supports 9 cam sites with more on the way. For VR playback, you can use a program such as HereSphere (available on Steam) and set the Projection to Perspective and Stereo to Side-by-Side (under basic video settings). Then on the advanced video settings, set the fov to anywhere between 100-120. The difference between watching your VR recordings and watching live on your favorite cam site is indistinguishable. I don't usually write reviews, but this gem deserves it. After trying many programs, I found CaptureGem to be the most complete. I've been using it for a year, and whenever an issue comes up, the developer handles it quickly. On top of being reliable, it's continually improving, so I highly recommend it! 💎
