With every new freelance project I built over the years, I faced the same struggle - browsing through old projects to find that one reusable component to speed up my work. I tried several platforms for saving my code snippets - Notion, GitHub Gists, nothing stuck... So I built Brewery - a better way to save & reuse code.
The workflow is simple:
- copy & paste your code
- add title, description and select a topic
- hit save & you are done!
Currently, I'm working on adding team workspaces for businesses to manage internal code snippets, paired with a VS Code extension for never having to leave your IDE while searching for your code snippet.
Scratching my own itch, and hoping it helps you too!
This is exactly what I’ve been looking for! I love how simple and intuitive Brewery sounds. Having a centralized place for reusable code snippets is going to save so much time. Will the VS Code extension allow for direct saving of snippets from within the IDE as well?
Yes, the VS Code extension will allow you to save code snippets to your Brewery account directly from your IDE. You just select your code, hit save and it's done! You will also be able to browse through your code snippets and the marketplace inside your IDE.
