Hi there PH community, I'm the creator of Booknshelf.
I’ve been keeping track of all my books in different notes apps and always been super curious to see what others are reading. I thought it would be an easier if there was a simple website that does that. I’ve also created curated bookshelves of many entrepreneurs and famous people.
I'd love any feature suggestions or critiques. Super excited about Booknshelf and so looking forward to explore the bookshelves you will create.
Hey there @tiggreen, What's the value add of booknshelf compared to GoodReads? Also, one of the major weak spots with GoodReads is that it is hard to discuss about ideas on it. Are you thinking of solving that problem with this site soon.
@girri_ great question Girri! I think Goodreads is great but there is a lot to keep track of there. Definitely tons of stuff you can do on Goodreads which also adds some additional noise. I think most people use only 10% of all the features of Goodreads. I see Booknshelf as a clean, very simple place where you can keep track of your books and find great books and bookshelves on very specific topics. I know we may be far from that point but we will get there step by step!
Hey everyone! I've made couple big updates to Booknshelf and would love to hear what you think:
- New cleaner and more visual UI
- You can now follow different topics on Booknshelf. Topics are curated by us and updated daily.
- You can now like your favorite books. When you like a book it appears in your profile under "Liked Books" tab.
- You can now sign up for the newsletter to get updates when new feature come to Booknshelf.
More updates are coming soon and I'm very excited for the future.
