Thanks for sharing @taliambender , are you able to analyze Ultralytics' website? @laurin_wirth I'm trying to test our website https://ultralytics.com with Better Copy on three different browsers (Safari, Brave and Chrome). I keep getting a message that our site doesn't work properly without Javascript being enabled, however, I have had it enabled in all of the browsers. Could you please look into it?
Laurin Wirth
@taliambender thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately https://ultralytics.com only loads the text if Javascript is enabled. The scraper I am using can't process your website as a result. I might add a text box where you can copy & paste your text manually next week. That should then fix the problem for you. :)

Hey Product Hunters! I made a small app to check for common words and phrases that tend to have a low conversion. 🤔 Problem I recently created the landing page for another project of mine. I wanted to check the text of my landing page for obvious marketing no-goes. Doing this, I came across a bunch of lists of which words to avoid on your website. Manually checking if I had used any of those hundreds of words on my landing page seemed tedious. ⚙️ Solution I created a simple app that scrapes all text from a URL that you enter and checks it against a list of words that you should avoid. Bonus, it also has a simple spell checker integrated.

Hi! And what algorithm does the tool use? How does it understand what converts and what does not?
Laurin Wirth
@irina_heinz thanks for the question. I compiled a list of words from many different sources. First, it checks it against a list of filler, weasel and hedge words (https://github.com/words/hedges). I also went through multiple marketing websites that go over best practices. An example of such a list: https://www.insightsforprofessio...
