Backstabbers Instant Murder Mystery, Just Add People. Drawing inspiration from a century old parlor game, Backstabbers leverages the use of technology to produce a unique elimination game set in the real world. Are you tired of the same old party games? Do you want to try something new, but don't feel like it's worth the risk? We get it. That's why we created Backstabbers App: A Real-World Murder Mystery App and it's like nothing you've ever played before. We do away with unnecessary narratives and improvised characters to create a dynamic and unfolding mystery based on personal interaction and the normal flow of conversation in groups. One person is selected at random for each game round to be the Backstabber. The Backstabbers then uses one of four non-verbal gestures to secretly eliminate players without being spotted. Everyone else is engaged in normal conversation and is trying to identify the Backstabber. The game ends when the Backstabber has eliminated all but one player, the Backstabber is caught, or time runs out and survivors get a chance to guess the Backstabber identity. Our initial release is the core version of our game. Down to road we'd like to offer more advanced game dynamics based on player feedback. The game is normally free for up to 6 players, but during our early adoption period, we're giving registered users the ability to play with up to 12 players. Registration ensures you keep these benefits after the early adoption period ends. We hope people enjoy the game. I personally grew up playing a form of this game with my family. We’d have large holiday parties, with 12-15 people all staying in a giant colonial era home. Played in the background, the game could for go on for hours or overnight easily.
