A categorized list of incidents caused by OSS library projects. The Goal is to identify and analyze reasons why some OSS maintainers do (un-)intentionally cause problems for the larger software ecosystem and to determine potential solutions.
Hi Hunters & OSS Maintainers,
We from PayDevs have compiled a categorized list of open-source incidents and started a list of potential solutions.
How can this list be useful? We hope that we can collect more root causes of these incidents and potential solutions such that they become more infrequent. Examples are trademark infringements, programming mistakes, as well as usage disputes and hacks.
If you find it useful, don't forget to upvote & give us a star ⭐ on GitHub! And if you know other incidents or classification ideas give us feedback - or a pull request!
Have a good search!
