Maker
Hey, fellow indie makers and mates working in tech. I've released a new version of LibHunt recently, and I would like to highlight some parts of it. It tracks mentions of open-source projects on Reddit, HackerNews and Dev.to. That happens almost in real-time, and when you open a project's page, you can see all references to recent mentions or similar and alternative projects (e.g. https://www.libhunt.com/r/vue). The similarities are based on mentions on common posts. Then, we have a list of the most popular programming languages based on the number of mentions https://www.libhunt.com/index. Another useful feature is listing the most trending projects per programming language - e.g. https://www.libhunt.com/l/python.... You will be surprised how many useful projects you can discover for the language you are using. At the end of the day, LibHunt has expanded to 200+ verticals (programming languages) and is getting more and more useful by collecting most mentions of open-source projects. AMA p.s. - the tracking engine is written in Phoenix/Elixir and processes 12+ million posts and comments every day - everything else is good old Ruby on Rails
