I've been following the ARD newsletter since its launch and have been impressed with how each issue offers a mix of history, tactical advice, and nuance around long-lasting issues. I have a heightened sensitivity to how my daily behaviors can snowball into macro events and also feel more equipped to be *proactive* about anti-racist work. Big fan of yours, @nicolecardoza !!
The Product Hunt Daily Digest from this past June said it best: "Black Lives Matter. Period."
At MetaLab, the murders of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor awoke us to the realities of the racial injustices all around us and the role we play in them. Amidst this reckoning, our team didn't want to wait until we had all the answers to start taking action in support of the Black Lives Matter movement, so we looked around to see who was already doing it well. It didn't take long to find that the daily newsletter, [Anti-Racism Daily](http://antiracismdaily.com), was one of the most thoughtful, cogent, accessible anti-racism resources out there. Nicole Cardoza, founder of [Yoga Foster](https://www.yogafoster.org/) and [Reclamation Ventures](https://www.reclamationventures.co/), started Anti-Racism Daily in response to the nation's collective outrage at the rampant racism in our society; the daily email includes summaries on important topics, key takeaways, and ways to get involved.
Anti-racism work is necessary work for all of us to continue to do with consistency and care, so how could we use our skills to help the Anti-Racism Daily reach an even broader audience?
Enter: Slack.
Together, we designed and developed a Slack app to deliver Anti-Racism Daily's messages of action to Slack channels everywhere. It's free to use, easy to install, and relevant for all workplaces. If you have Slack at your organization, this app is for you.
Slash commands make it super simple to manage your subscription, explore topics, and get help in seconds. We also created a Home tab that gives you and your team all kinds of ways to get involved, such as signing up for a corporate plan or donating to the cause.
We're so grateful to @nicolecardoza and her team for allowing us to learn from and support their work.
Install the Anti-Racism Daily Slack app for your own team and let us know what you think.
