We're Simon and Max, two students passionate about making politics more accessible. We built abstimmung.eu because we believe citizens should be able to both understand political decisions and express their own informed opinions on the same matters.
abstimmung.eu does four key things:
- Shows exactly how representatives in the German Bundestag vote on specific issues
- Notifies users about recent votes so they can keep track of what is happening
- Breaks down complex legislation into clear, non-partisan language anyone can understand
- Creates a space for citizens to vote on the same issues and discuss different perspectives
Unlike traditional political platforms, we focus on transparency rather than pushing any agenda. We provide the voting records, explain the context with unbiased information, and let users form their own opinions.
Our goal is to bridge the gap between official parliamentary proceedings and public discourse, helping to reduce political echo chambers and encourage more informed civic engagement.
