Today we’re excited to share Aavia, the first-to-market hormone health app and platform helping people with ovaries turn their hormones into their superpower. We’re also announcing that Seven Seven Six led our latest round of funding with participation from many existing investors, totaling $7.5M raised to date. We started Aavia because we believe that all people with ovaries deserve to understand and predict how their hormones make them feel. We're unlocking the next generation of health for people with ovaries by unlocking the connection between their brains, bodies, and hormones. Our model is resonating: on average, Aavia members reported an 80% increase in confidence related to their health in just three weeks after downloading. My (Abridged) Story: My entire life people have been withholding information from me. When I was a teenager, my doctor told me that my irregular period was normal because I was an athlete. When I was in my early 20s, another doctor told me it wasn’t normal. Fast forward through numerous issues and immense confusion. I was frustrated. What is going on? Why did they even put me on this medication? What is a normal period anyways? I started to look into research and talk to as many people as I could. I was shocked by what I learned. No one was telling me the whole truth. The ovarian hormone cycle actually impacts WAY more than your period. People with ovaries have another cycle beyond the 24 hour circadian rhythm, a 21-35 day cycle where the ovarian hormones are fluctuating daily and depending on where you are in the cycle it impacts your quality of muscle toning, quality of sleep, energy levels, sex drive, skin, mood, and the list goes one. https://aavia.io/blogs/ooh-with-...
