Hi my name is zorocubing and a few months ago, I was staring at my desktop looking at all the mess accumulated from aesthetic wallpapers I downloaded, project directories on the desktop and video and audio materials I saved up for editing. It was messy and overwhelming. Being stuck in the Windows operating system meaning that I couldn't easily organize my computer's files like macOS so I figured out I could watch a YouTube tutorial on how to build a simple files organizer for Windows using Python. At first it does work and solve my problem but as time goes on, I have AGAIN gathered a bunch of different files on my desktop again even messier than the previous time. I realized this wasn't a sustainable solution so I came up with an idea, 'Why don't I just build an app instead? It would be so much more user friendly than opening a code editor/IDE and running a Python script every time.'. I looked up on some Python UI libraries and started figuring out how do I merge the existing files organizing logic to a desktop app. Took me a couple weeks to do so but that's not it. I also spent some time updating the app to improve it and enhance it's features. Spend some time in Figma to design beautiful product photos. Open sourced it on GitHub and wrote a simple but effective README and release notes. Finally, I designed a download page so users don't have to go to my release page to download it and generally more user friendly. So yeah go try it out and if it's good please share it to a friend or a family member. Built with ❤️
