Zoldy is an extra layer of security and negotiating tool for confidential information holders at risk of finding themselves in dangerous situations which threaten to compromise the information they hold, even for those who need control if failing to respond.
@kevin thank you so much for your Hunt.
Hi Hunters, this is Roberto - excited to introduce you to Zoldy!
This service is my own personal bet, born out of a personal need as well, it is a new type of service, new as there is nothing even similar to what Zoldy provides, so, excited to see what the community has to say about it.
/ The situation, the problem. /
Holding confidential information can be stressful from an individual's point of view, sometimes even dangerous. Where to secure it? How to do it? Who will take care of it if all else fails? Should I trust? Confidentiality and the ability to keep information under control becomes essential in a wide range of situations, including some where the very possession of this information may be risky, or there are direct or indirect threats, or others where it is really important what happens to this information if something should happen.
For people, in most cases, these circumstances generate very strong feelings and emotions; fear, mistrust, anxiety, excessive worry, stress and more. If on top of that there is a real danger a huge feeling of loneliness and lack of control will be added to the situation.
/ Zoldy, our solution. /
Zoldy assists and responds to these specific situations where there is sensitive information, concern about what would happen to that information if something were to happen, and direct danger or threats from possession of that information.
How: in short, tell your Zoldy how you want it to operate on your behalf.
1.- Upload your files and set emails and messages attaching files to any email.
2.- Activate different security levels.
3.- If something should happen to you, Zoldy takes control by sending files and messages to preset emails.
/ Zoldy on the fly. /
+ You are not sure about the situation in the meeting, you don't feel safe and you set Zoldy to send you notifications every 30 minutes. In case you don't reply to 3 consecutive notifications your Zoldy reacts by sending files and messages to the preset emails. While in the meeting a notification beep sounds and now it's up to you to let them know you´ve got a Zoldy.
+ If you show your Negotiator mode, they know you`ve got a Zoldy. Under direct threats the Negotiator mode gives you options to negotiate with the information you hold, if you touch this screen, even slightly, Zoldy will instantly send the preset emails with files and messages with no way back nor way to stop it.
* If you are forced to open your Zoldy settings to access your confidential files, then you can use the Panic Pass you set up earlier to tell your Zoldy that you are having problems and that you need the emails with the files sent immediately, Zoldy will do this in the background.
+ Unistalling Zoldy will not stop it, preventing attempts to stop the service through uninstallation.
/ Your data: emails, files and messages. /
Zoldy automatically deletes all data if the time of service expires and emails were not sent - emails, files and messages -. If the emails were sent then files are kept for 15 days for the email recipients to download them and after that time they are automatically deleted along with emails and messages. Privacy is a must nowadays.
/ Curiosities: /
- Zoldy does not work with users, there is no username nor password, Zoldy works with devices.
- No humans behind Zoldy, the service is 100% autonomous, there are no people behind the processes and therefore a service cannot be interrupted, modified or eliminated except by the users themselves.
- From memory there is a very small reference to the basis of the idea in one of the episodes of Mr.Robot where under a direct threat he says "If anything happens to me the script will send the files...".
Zoldy is also available in Spanish, here.
I would love to get your feedback and I will be happy answering any question or comment you may have.
My first 2 concerns are the unreliability of email and what if they come after you?
Is everything you store private key encrypted, that you don't have a back door to?
Yes @peterbuick emails could be a concern, I presume you are pointing to the delivery and this is why Zoldy uses SendGrid to send them, trying to assure delivery, this is only used if the service fired, so emails were sent. Our test results were really well. SendGrid does not store data it is only used as an email gateway
No backdoors, have a look, please, to how data is processed https://www.zoldyapp.com/legal-info#privacy, this is public information. Data is stored encrypted, no user or password you can manage, change or edit, Zoldy is linked to your device.
Thank you for taking the time and if I caused more doubts, please go ahead and tell me.
