Zirra was hunted a few months back when they were still in beta. They have finally opened their databases for everyone, and for free. Zirra still sells analysis reports, but the database is free, and anyone can search for any startup and get data.
The new open database provides the essence of Pitchbook and CB Insights, for every company, immediately. They include a unique NLP-based similarity mapping engine that, using hundreds of thousands of news articles, automatically identifies companies written about in a similar way.
Other proprietary algorithms scan the media to spot meaningful events in the company’s history. The automatic report also includes web and mobile traffic analysis, HR open positions, general company information, key team members, their email and social links, and patent and trademark scanning. The information is extracted from 85 different public data sources from which they are able to derive in-depth and meaningful insights. This is a learning system that quickly improves as it’s used.

1.The free Startup Spotlight database: We created a search engine that aggregates and analyze information from various sources about startups. 2.Premium Insights Report, a brief discussion of the data gathered, together with a summary of the company’s business and marketing strategy, competitive position, market forecast, exit indicators, HR analysis and inside scoops, curated by Zirra’s researchers. Take for example a report on Spotify (https://www.zirra.com/companies/...), or smaller company such as the drone maker Airobotic (https://www.zirra.com/companies/...)
3.Due Diligence Report, a longer, deeper dive into a company, which includes a more elaborate analysis of the company, its competitors, and a comprehensive expert's opinion set that adds the crowd's wisdom into the report and a deeper familiarity with the company, industry and the market.
Just tried it for my company Recast.AI data seem to come from Crunchbase or Angel List which is not completely up to date. The competitors were not accurate, not sure where you got those from ?
What is the added value compare to mattermark or crunch base ?

However, It's important to note that our platform is free, and it is still in beta. As you might know, every AI and machine learning platform depends on usage. I used Zirra for a competitive analysis for a public company. In part i was a bit disappointed. You would expect a research company to atleast digest 10K forms which contains useful analysis by the company itself and summarize. The report didnt recognize it was a public company and marked valuation as unknown. $100 might be too high a price.
