Hey ProductHunters ๐
Are you feeling overwhelmed with distractions and struggling to stay on track with your goals? Iโve been there, in fact, Iโve been there just a week ago ...
Picture this:
- You wake up, check Twitter, and lose an hour scrolling through tweets
- Youโre unsure which feature on your app to work on next
- You worry if everything youโre doing will even pay off
- You jump from task to task, making little real progress
I get it. As I'm just starting out on my "Indie Hacker" journey, I quickly realized I needed something to help me stay focused, but without any extra noise or baggage (like most habit trackers apps).
Thatโs why I created ZenGoal, my first tiny project, to tackle this problem head-on.
ZenGoal is all about simplicity. It sends you a daily email with your main goal and an inspiring quote at the same time every morning (6am for me).
Here's the quote that keeps me going currently:
"I didn't make a single dollar for the first year. But I didn't quit." - Josh Pigford, Founder of Baremetrics (Source: Indie Hackers podcast)
This quote now greets me every morning when I'm sipping on my coffee, browsing through emails.
Setting up ZenGoal takes less than 30 seconds:
- Enter your inspirational quote
- Enter your goal for the next 30 days
- Done!
ZenGoal is free, easy, and designed to keep you focused and driven. Give it a try and start your next 30 days with purpose.
Enjoy!

@maxaiplayground This seems like a cool idea but isn't it just like an alarm. With people having such less attention span, just having an email every morning with same quote showing up feels like my daily morning alarm which I stop in a second and go back to sleep.
I feel that this should be extended not just only to emails but also to app usages. For example you can set the time of usage for each app and if you cross that usage time, the quote will pop-up and the app will be forced quit. I feel nudges like this will be more helpful.
@meet_mehta4 I think it depends on what you really want.
Tracking app usage is a whole different concept which definitely has its benefits. I think this is even built natively into Android/iOS.
The goal with ZenGoal was an image in my mind:
While sitting down in the morning, and opening up the laptop, getting ready for work...
๐ Read your daily inspiration while remembering your 30 day goal.
This should "reset" your focus every single day to increase the odds of reaching your #1 goal.
Then, switch off the phone, mail, WhatsApp and any notifications and get closer to reaching your goal by really putting in the hours before you do anything else.
@maxaiplayground great launch! by the way, what is the number one most common reminder? Actually knowing what is number one goal for a person opens unbelievable monetization opportunities :)
@maxaiplayground actually that's a really tough question - many of them strategically in terms of life in general and work, but if I would set a reminder, that would be daily sports activity or exercises :D
