Zapty is an online teamwork and project collaboration tool, combining core features and productivity tools to provide users seamless collaboration, discussion and document sharing. It puts conversations at the center of work, and from there, users naturally discover and manage work while conversing/collaborating with anyone inside or outside the organization. It is more effective than email, providing organization and structure to conversations and teams, and at the same time creating transparency and accountability in tracking the completion of tasks and projects.
Looks a lot like what Slack already does
What are your big differentiators? How do you plan to get teams off Slack and on to Zapty?
There are also lots of other amazing companies in this space - same questions as above :)
@anu_pma Slack is far from 'just a messaging platform'
with their abundance of integrations Im just wondering what can people do here that they cant on slack.

@bentossell Zapty is about work process & project management. Conversations are key for any work.
What we specialize in is, real-time modern contextual conversations with in any work. And making these conversations
a) Accountable (Who is responsible? One person / entire team has to act / Someone has to pick ? etc.),
b) Time bound (Drive through frequent planning and deadlines, and reminders),
c) Actionable (Clear actions - complete tasks enforced through checklists, get aggregated polls with numbers and choices, get Approvals etc.).
Using our Projects each work or Task is tied to a workflow. Hence allowing one to run workflow centric conversations, and keep them in context for knowledge building and improving the process.
One can continue to use Slack along with Zapty, just like you would use Trello/Asana with Slack. Our Slack integration is also in works. Once teams get used to our task driven conversations, they are free to adapt Team level conversations also with similar capability, but that is completely up to individual teams.
We happily use Trello + Slack for task management, how could this tool make it better for us? :)
Ps. This is a personal view, but I usually prefer best of breed software that integrates with other tools, rather than the all-in-one dinosaur, hence, my question :P
@victormanriquey We have tried Trello & Slack, ended up in a lot of confusion, since we ended up discussing certain things in Slack, and certain things in Trello boards, so often things were becoming out of context. Also, we realized giving action items in Slack was ineffective and easily lost. Hence had to shift to Trello for all actionable items. What we like about Slack is the integrations, so that we can get all alerts from the different system at one place, but for day to day work, we had to always go back to Trello. So again instead of having look at one tool again we were looking into multiple tools and emails. When we started to use Zapty, one of the things we liked was everything remained in the context of the task, still it was like we were chatting in the common team room. This has worked really well for us.
@anu_pma hey Anu, thanks for your answer, appreciate that. We use Trello for all "production ready" designs and final specs/stuff (depending on the size of the team or product, we use jira/confluence better) and we use Slack for all chatter in between that would make the "task" too cluttered with in progress stuff. Not sure how this approach works for XL teams but up until that point we're happy with it ;)
PS. In any case, and because you took the time to answer and provide some benefits, I'll give it a try to Zapty and see if this is the unicorn we were looking for.
EDIT: So just tried it, but I don't think it will suit us, because the maximum upload size is 15 mb, and as any other team, our designs are mostly all times heavier. I didn't explore more, but the rest was looking nice. Good luck in the adventure!
@victormanriquey Thanks for trying. We integrate with Google Drive, so for larger files you could use Google drive and reference the documents inside Zapty. For Paid plans we also have higher limits.
