Yourganize is a personal organizer that helps you manage life's projects and tasks. Form positive new habits that work towards your goals and improve your productivity, based on the science behind how our minds work.
Hi product hunters,
In the last few years I've become interested in the science behind how our minds work. This was sparked by "The Chimp Paradox" by Prof. Steve Peters and a growing number of books around cognitive biases and our automated behaviours.
I've also been feeling overwhelmed (and know others do too) trying to fit everything in - work, side projects, hobbies, learning, exercise, time for socialising, making sure I'm on the right path!... 🤯
I've built Yourganize, using reading around neuroscience and behaviour, to try and alleviate some of these problems I'm having...
- feeling like time is precious and not wanting to be working on the "wrong" thing
- dealing with procrastination/not being able to get started
- difficulty concentrating on one thing at a time
- regretting at the end of a day that I haven't "made the most" of my day or been productive
- falling into the same old habits and not knowing how to change them
- using various organisation tools but not having everything in one place
- anxiety that I'll look back in future and regret that I didn't make time for what's meaningful to me
Yourganize has already helped me with some of these things and will be an ongoing project of learning, based on research and a community of shared experiences.
Version 1.0 helps you...
- organise life's projects and tasks
- form positive habits that work towards your goals with a plan for how to stick to them
- plan a repeatable weekly routine to help improve productivity and increase the likelihood of carrying out those habits and tasks
- track your progress and see where you can improve
If any of the above resonates with you then I hope Yourganize can be useful to you too!
All feedback is very welcome :)
-- APRIL 2020, PRODUCT UPDATE --
After feedback from users I've now added a Yourganize Calendar.
This means you can add Habits, Projects and Tasks to your calendar, or sync with your Google Calendar(s) to make use of Google reminders - I've been using Google Calendar reminders to notify me when I want to be carrying out my habits throughout the day, and it's really helping me remember!
I've also added a "Today" page, where you can see your Focus routine and Calendar events side by side for the upcoming day, helping you plan the day ahead, focus on what matters most to you, and maintain productivity.
As always, feedback is very welcome.
@jamiegilman Love to give it a spin (as a neuropsychologist), but can I only register with Google? And can you tell some more about pricing? I can't find anything on the site beside `Go Pro`.
@evertsemeijn Wow, your feedback would be really helpful! I'd love to know what you think, especially about the habit formation process and the focus timetable, and the info I have on the site. It would be brilliant to work in partnership with neuropsychologists.
You can use all features for free - they're saved locally to your browser, so you can test it out before deciding if it's something you'd pay for.
Going paid (Pro) means you'll have the same functionality as free, but it will be saved online, meaning you can access the site on multiple devices, and your data will be backed up.
If you do give it a go, I'd love to know your thoughts. You can contact me directly on jamie@getyourganize.com
Many thanks for taking the time to have a look!
Hi @jamiegilman!
I really loved the idea and it definitely fills a huge gap that exist in this industry!
Really looking forward to it's application, branding is dope!
Also, would love to feature it on my Instagram handle and would love to have on my Business Podcast as guest which will expose it to Indian masses!
Looking forward to your reply!
Please drop in your email address if interested!
Thanks
I’ve been a beta user of Yourganize for a couple of months now and I love it! I work on a lot of different creative projects and trying to get everything done can be overwhelming. This has helped make it all feel manageable and in a really positive way, I’ve actually found I’m getting things done that were stagnating on other productivity apps. I really like that it incorporates different sides to daily life on different pages - work, projects and tasks, but also the habits and focus timetable so I can think about how I want my life to be as a whole. For me, exercise can slip when I’m in the working zone so it’s great that I can easily see it on my habits and goals page when I’m working and be reminded that it’s supposed to be part of my day too! Great stuff!
