Hey everyone, Vince from Your Mechanic here. We've re-launched our iPhone App this week.
We connect car owners with independent certified mechanics in their local neighborhood. We also help you find a fair price for the services, book an appointment with the mechanic you chose, pay for parts and services, and get your car fixed conveniently at your home or office.
We're happy to offer $20 off your first service with code PH20.
@uvince I've seen a lot of these specialized task rabbits. I used handy for a handy man 2 weeks ago and it was a great experience (except the first cancellation). It seems to scale they are spending a ton in advertising using uber like tactics. Do you plan to do the same?
@luizcent "uber like tactics" is kind of a loaded phrase ;-) can you be more specific? We do have a strong tell a friend program like Uber for instance and that was a huge incentive for me to tell friends and discover the service before I became an employee at YourMechanic.
if you do try the service I'd love your feedback, I'm uvince@ pretty much everywhere.
Yes! I'd thought about a service like this before, and really glad someone's doing it. Is there a way for the mechanic to take your car back to the shop (and return it) for you if needed? Good luck!
@coreywstone Currently we are focused on providing on-site service. We can do 150+ services at your home or office at lower cost than shops and dealers.
I've used Your Mechanic and have had a fantastic experience. Much more convenient than traditional garages. Transparent pricing. Great mechanics: friendly, professional, good follow-up. The iOS app needs work, but their web app is solid.
