What do you think? …

Gaël de Mondragon
Hello there! I'm Gaël, a 32-year-old indie maker with a passion for ramen and a big goal: to become ramen-profitable in 2023. While coding is challenging for me, I've discovered something even tougher: getting people's attention online and valuable feedback for my projects. You know the drill. You ship a new product, reach out to potential users on forums, subreddits, LinkedIn, etc. hoping for feedback. But all too often, you receive generic responses like "Cool product" or inquiries about your tech stack. It's nice, but not exactly what you need to grow. That's why I created yesRamen. It's the platform I wish I had—a place to connect with genuine, engaged users who provide qualitative feedback. Since February, I've been building yesRamen, and it's gaining momentum. But here's the thing: we still need more feedback-givers to balance the equation. That's why I'm thrilled about this launch—it's a chance to bring more product enthusiasts on board and make yesRamen even better. Looking forward to reading your comments, and feedback :)

@gael_de_mondragon I think you need to build a social network for the equation to add up. Giving feedback is valuable to the giver as long as other sees it. That's why we engage in slack but don't answer google forms 😬

Would be pretty ironic if I were to just say Cool product now, wouldn’t it 😆 but congrats on the launch! Can you elaborate more on the mechanism that incentivizes people to give higher quality product feedback?
Gaël de Mondragon
@hai_ta1 Ahhhh spot on! But I wouldn't mind :) I used to blame PH for that. It's a lot of short comments like that, which are usually not very helpful if you're seeking feedback. But I realized it's just how this platform is built. It's the "game" here, and there's not necessarily something wrong with that. But if you're a maker and you need more thorough feedback with answers to specific questions, then I think yesRamen is more likely to help. Currently, the main incentive for someone to give higher-quality feedback is a sweet spot in the leaderboards (the responses are graded and feedback givers earn points). Top spot = more visibility on your profile or projects. Always nice for an indie maker. The rewards are also an incentive, but as long as the feedback is complete and clear, not completely beside the point, the maker will give it, so I wouldn't call it an incentive for "higher quality" specifically. Thanks for your kind words :)

I've been meaning to sign up as a feedback-giver for a while, so this has served as a reminder! Love the idea, and the name! Best of luck with the launch dude!
Gaël de Mondragon
@adxmcollins Ahh good to see you Adam! Thank you very much for the kind words. I'll see your on the feedback givers side then, maybe even on the leaderboard? 😉
