The YarpBot Extension takes the power of YarpBot and packages it into your Twitch Stream. Using YarpBot, Channel Owners can provide a Panel or Overlay to allow Viewers to ask questions and provide customized answers without a human having to do anything!
HOWDY!
I'm Zac, and I'm the maker of YarpBot (https://yarpbot.com) back with our newest feature: The YarpBot Twitch Extension.
YarpBot aims to be the Ultimate Twitch Assistan by answering common questions in Twitch Chat using the power of Natural Language Processing. With YarpBot, there's no need to use !commands in chat to get some piece of information; just ask a question like a human would and YarpBot will identify the intent behind a query, look up the response the Channel Owner has customized, and respond without a human having to do anything!
As we've worked to add new intents and functionality into YarpBot, we thought, "Hey, people might not always want to ask questions in Twitch Chat" and "What happens if someone has a question about a Twitch Stream when the stream if Offline?" and "What cool thing can we make next?"
So in response, I made a Twitch Extension. Now Twitch Streamers have the power to add YarpBot in two new ways to their stream: either as a Panel below their stream or an Overlay on top of it. Once activated, Channel Viewers can ask almost anything they could in chat to the Extension and receive a 1 on 1 response. Also, you can configure the entire thing from within Twitch (but it also syncs your settings from yarpbot.com). You can even control the chat bot from the extension settings so you can use YarpBot both in classic Chat mode AND/OR in Overlay mode.
Still not convinced? Then try talking to YarpBot right now on our 24/7 status stream at https://twitch.tv/yarpbot and try interacting with the Overlay over the stream using one of the recommendations listed under the "Can I Try?" section. Or check out the Help Docs at https://docs.yarpbot.com/#/exten... to learn more about the YarpBot Extension.
Right now I'm actively looking for feedback, suggestions, and bugs as I'm not enough of a fool to say that YarpBot is perfect. Feel free to reach out over Twitter (https://twitter.com/yarpbot), Discord (https://discord.yarpbot.com), or here if you have thoughts or VERY ANGRY THOUGHTS. I look forward to the feedback, even if I also fear it.
If you're reading this on Launch Day, then I'll be part of the Creator Tools Showcase panel at TwitchCon Amsterdam (https://www.twitchcon.com/amster...) so feel free to stop by and ask whatever (I'll be the guy in the YarpBot shirt who won't shut up about YarpBot). I'll be at the Con all weekend so come say Hi if you're there too!
