XbooK
3-2-1 screen convertible laptop
45 followers
Xbook seamlessly shifts between a 3-screen workstation, a 2-touchscreen laptop, and a 1-screen mode, all with 14" displays. Folding to just 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) and weighing 7.5 lbs (3.4 kg), it is a perfect upgrade for home offices and mobile workspaces.
Hey Product Hunt, I’m @bill_albertson, founder of X-Book!
🚀 The Problem
Laptops are too small for real work, desktops are stuck in one place, and screen extenders are bulky, clunky, and kill portability. If you work remotely, travel, or just need more screen space, you know the struggle—constantly juggling between devices, resizing windows, and trying to be productive on a single tiny screen.
💡 The Solution
I built X-Book to fix this. It’s the first-ever convertible 3-screen workstation laptop that adapts to you, not the other way around. Whether you're editing videos, coding, trading, or working remotely, it unfolds into a triple-screen powerhouse and folds down to a 1.5-inch, travel-ready form when you’re on the go.
🤔 Addressing the Big Question: “Why a Bigger Laptop?”
We get it—laptops are supposed to be thin and light, right? So why make one that’s bigger and heavier?
Simple: not all work fits on a tiny screen. If your job is bigger than a single-screen notebook, X-Book is built for you.
Think about it—the most powerful laptops today aren’t small or light (MacBook Pro 16", gaming laptops, workstation laptops). They already push past 5-6 lbs, but none of them give you three built-in screens. If you’re carrying an external monitor, screen extender, or tablet to compensate, you’re already hauling more weight than X-Book—but with half the functionality.
Sure, if your laptop is just for emails and Netflix, a thin ultrabook is fine. But if you’re a trader, editor, designer, coder, or remote pro who needs real screen space, X-Book is the only device that delivers.
Not for everyone? Maybe.
For those who need more? Absolutely.
🛠 Why This Matters
This isn’t just another laptop—it’s a workstation that moves with you.
You get:
• Workstation Mode – Unfold into three 14” screens with a full keyboard for serious multitasking—two horizontal screens plus a deck touchscreen for seamless workflow.
• Two-Touchscreen Mode – Dual touchscreens for sketching, editing, and seamless digital input without external tablets.
• Standard Laptop Mode – A compact single-screen setup for everyday tasks and ultimate familiarity.
• Travel Mode – Folds into a 1.5-inch, travel-ready form, packing workstation power into a portable design.
• No more trade-offs – X-Book replaces desktops, extenders, and cramped laptops, giving you real flexibility, anywhere.

Hi Bill! The X-Book sounds like a game-changer for those needing more screen space on the go. Can you share more about the durability and build quality of the X-Book, especially given its convertible nature? How does it handle frequent unfolding and folding?
@owitho Hello George, we think so as well! The X-BooK was designed with an all unibody chasis (one solid piece of aluminum). This makes it ultra strong compared to many other designed laptops. We have been putting it through testing of the folding / unfolding and it is remarkably durable.
