X76 - A New Way to Network Efficiently. Describe what you are looking for in a couple of sentences and get connected with others whose search complements or matches yours.
Hey folks,
I'm excited to introduce X76, a platform I've been building for the past 10 months! X76 lets you start a search where you describe what you are looking for in a sentence or two, and it will connect you to other users whose search requests complement or match yours.
Think of X76 as a well-connected friend who is good at networking - you describe to X76 what you’re looking for (experience, activity, business or project idea, or any other adventure). Since X76 knows what each user is looking for, it can connect you to each other.
While it might fall under a category of social networks, its core principle differs from other social networks. FWIW, it’s probably closer to a search engine that indexes people’s intentions to network, meet, collaborate, or pursue activities together.
I decided it’s time to launch a beta version to see how it performs in the real world and gather feedback from the community to understand how people use it and how to improve it, and also to see if there are any bugs and fix them asap :) I would love to hear your thoughts on the product and the idea!
I hope that it may help many people, but I also understand that it won’t bring any value if no one knows that it exists - so exposing the product to the right people, letting them try the product, and gathering their feedback is essential! So I'd also be interested in your thoughts or ideas for reaching more people that might be interested.
For the initial launch I've decided to start with a couple of large metropolitan areas in the US and Europe. You need to choose your metro area during sign-up - if your area is not supported yet, you will be prompted to join a waitlist - this helps to understand where the interest for the platform is and open more registrations in select areas.
I've written a brief backstory below for those interested in why I created X76 (posted as a separate comment to keep the main comment concise; hopefully it's not too boring 🙂
Cheers
Daniel
