Hi Product Hunt! I'm Jono Matusky, one of the creators behind Write Release, a free AI-powered news release writing tool from PR agency Gregory FCA. As a public relations firm, we know firsthand that writing news releases can be a bit...boring. Cliché. Formulaic. But it doesn't have to be! When you've got news to share, an engaging and well-written release can be the difference between getting covered and toiling in obscurity. That's why we built Write Release. Just answer a few guided questions based on the type of news you're announcing, and we'll generate the first draft of a great press release. You can even pick your headline and re-write the entire thing, or start the process over to come at it from a new angle. Why are we launching Write Release? Well, over the past two years, our agency has experimented with generative AI, and we started developing our own internal software to leverage the best models and tools out there. With recent advancements from OpenAI and others, we believe that generative AI will soon become a widespread tool in marketing and public relations, and we want to make sure that communications professionals understand that AI isn't magic, expensive, or hard to use. It's a useful tool they should incorporate into their workflow, and we hope Write Release can be a part of that! Hi Jono, congrats on your launch! What AI is Write Release built on? What's the mechanic behind your product?

@mzatorski were primarily using OpenAI’s GPT-3.5, along with a few other tools. We do a fair amount of work optimizing the prompt on the back end to produce what we consider to be “good quality” release. What’s generated by GPT by default is pretty mediocre.
