Hey Product Hunt community, Jim Verducci here, CEO of Wristband. I'm incredibly excited to announce the launch of our public beta! Wristband is a developer-centric authentication and authorization platform designed to simplify and secure your application's user management. What makes us different from other auth providers? Firstly, we are a truly multi-tenant auth provider. We are architected to work perfectly for B2B SaaS companies that have to serve multiple enterprise customers within one platform. In addition, we think the other auth providers are gating necessary security features behind massive enterprise contracts...our mission is to provide a solution that lets developers focus on building great products while we take care of the security and authentication... without gating necessary security features! We believe that strong security should be easy and accessible. With Wristband, you get: * Multi-Tenant Support: Perfect for B2B applications, allowing you to manage multiple clients with ease. * Custom Domains with Wildcard Subdomain Support: White-label auth just leveled up with custom domains for B2B customer login pages and support for wildcard subdomains. * Social Login/SSO Integrations: Simplify the user experience with quick and easy social logins and Enterprise SSO. * Role-Based Access Control (RBAC): Implement fine-grained access control effortlessly. * Customizable Workflows: Tailor the authentication process to fit your exact needs. * Comprehensive Documentation and SDKs: Designed by developers for developers, ensuring you have everything you need to get started quickly. We're eager to hear your feedback and thoughts on Wristband. Head over to our Product Hunt page to check it out and share your insights with us. Your input is invaluable as we continue to improve and refine our platform. Thank you for your support and for being a part of our journey! Best, Jim Verducci

@jim_verducci Definitely a really cool and memorable name and CI, I really like it and it fits very well with your service 👏🏻 I use @directus a lot, can I combine it with Wristband to authenticate my users? Congrats on the launch 🚀
Jim Verducci
@directus @crebuh Thanks so much for the kind words! Regarding Directus (of which I have yet to personally use), it appears to support OIDC and redirecting out to a 3rd party SSO provider. In that case, Wristband could act as another 3rd party SSO provider. The one caveat is that it's not clear that it supports multi-tenancy. In Wristband, each tenant in your application has its own set of OIDC endpoints. Directus only allows you to set a single OIDC endpoint per provider, and thus it would make it difficult to have a multi-tenant login experience. You could though still use a single global tenant for all your users in Wristband if you wanted to. And it looks like you are launching soon yourself -- exciting! Best of luck to you as well. :o)

Hey Jim, How does your implementation of custom domains and wildcard subdomains work? I'm also curious about your approach to pricing. How do you balance making security features accessible while still monetizing effectively? P.S. The emphasis on comprehensive documentation is great to see. Congrats on the launch!
Jim Verducci
@kyrylosilin Happy to answer! And thank you. :o) - In Wristband, you can create a custom wildcard domain at the application level. Any tenants under that application will then get a subdomain appended to the beginning of that custom domain. For example, lets say your app has a custom domain of "auth.yourapp.com". Now if you had a tenant under that application called "mytenant", it would have its own unique subdomain: "mytenant.auth.yourapp.com". For more details, you can read more here: https://docs.wristband.dev/docs/... - We have a combination of usage and subscription pricing. The short answer is finding other ways to charge. :o) This includes things like usage on number of tenants, domains & branding, levels of support, and certain select features where it makes sense without passing on the "SSO Tax" to customers. We have also designed and optimized our architecture for multi-tenancy from the ground up, which allows us to be more efficient both technologically and operationally.
