Wrappily is a smart new take on wrapping paper. Using neighborhood newspaper presses, we print great patterns on recyclable/ compostable newsprint using soy-based ink—a sustainable solution to the millions of tons of trash generated by gift wrap every year.
With (increasingly beleaguered) newspaper presses in every town in the US, why were we printing all our (very non-recyclable) wrapping paper oversees? Once I had the vision for a more sustainable model for gift wrap, I couldn't NOT make it happen. Plus, gift wrap guilt is totally a thing—well, it was for me. Wrappily is milled, printed and packaged right in Washington State for the shortest possible supply chain. Now after a birthday party or on Christmas morning, it feels so much better to be able to throw our used wrap in with our newspaper recycling or right in the compost bin. It's a small act towards a four million ton trash problem. Maybe Wrappily can alleviate a pain point for you? Thanks for taking a moment to learn more about us!
