Hey Product Hunt 👋 It's launch week at Inngest! This week, @itstonyhb, @djfarrelly and team are launching a new feature every day, including Inngest 1.0 + self-hosting! This crazy week keeps going with this launch, a toolkit to add Zapier-like workflows to your product in minutes — and best part? It's open-source! Star this repo! Keep up your great work, ?makers 👏👏

@itstonyhb @djfarrelly @fmerian Hey this is amazing, I have been using Zapier to automate a lot of events in my application. Are you planning to build an integration with low-code platforms? Would love to give it a spin, thanks for saving some 💵💵
Dan Farrelly
Hi @prad_vv, Workflow kit can be used to integrate with anything. While we're not targeting low code platforms, we may explore creating pre-built actions that you can install as a developer. that would make those actions available in a no-code setup to their own users!

Oh, nice, it looks like it could save me a lot of time. One question, though, do I have to store all of my data within Inngest?
Charly Poly
Hi @dcoates! That's a good question! When using the Workflow Kit (and Inngest in general), only the event data and function state are stored on the Inngest Platform, which means no PII, only record IDs and some metadata. All the workflow data gets stored on your side. We also provide an encryption middleware to encrypt all the aforementioned data (https://www.inngest.com/docs/fea...) and recently released self-hosting support (https://www.inngest.com/blog/inn...).

👋🏻 Hi Product Hnut! I'm Tony, one of the makers of Inngest (https://www.inngest.com). We started Inngest back in 2022 to make it easy for you to ship reliable code quickly, without new infra, and we're now running tens of millions of functions a day for people like Resend, SoundCloud, and GitBook. One thing has consistently popped up — makers want Zapier-like workflows in their own product, so that their users build custom automations directly in their account. This is really hard, repetitive, complex work that takes a ton of time. We're changing that. Today, we’re excited to release our open-source Workflow Kit. Our SDK allows you to add visual workflows to your product in a few minutes. It features a high-level back-end engine, pre-built React components, built in conditionals - everything you need to build and ship fast 🚀 Here's what you get: 1. ⚙️ Define your own workflow actions in the backend, leveraging Inngest's `step` APIs for orchestration 2. 🎨 Use our pre-built React components to allow users to configure their own workflows visually 3. ✨ Your workflows run automatically in your own product, using Inngest for execution 4. No queues, infrastructure, code execution, or architecture buildout necessary. This is our first public launch, and we'll be adding a ton more to the SDK over time. Questions? Feedback? Let us know! We’d love to hear it!
