Wicard

@bentossell thanks for your message! Today travelers spend on average 30 minutes reading public reviews to find a good place to go. Why? Because comments and star-ratings are broken: there is way to much “noisy” and contradictory information around us, biased by people that we don’t know. According to our vision, quantity doesn’t matter anymore. We need quality and relevance and that’s why we created Wicard. On Wicard, there is no public reviews nor star-ratings, only travel memories of people you trust like your friends, family and local bloggers working with us around the world. All these memories are linked to a “wicard”, it’s like an interactive business card of the place where you can find all the info needed (address, phone number, opening hours, ...). When you discover an inspiring place or you like it, you can simply bookmark it and it will create automatically your personal travel guide. @didierschwarz I'm hesitant to spend the effort to fill this information in if my friends never use the app. That's at least the benefit of using Yelp etc. How do you plan to change this?

@tombielecki thanks for your comment! On Wicard you can also have a public profile and become an influencer, so it's not limited to your friends network only. So even if some of your friends are not very active users, you can inspire other travelers by sharing your personal experience. @samir_doshi thanks for your feedback ;) for us what matters it the quality of the recommendations vs the quantity. That's why we removed all public comments and star-ratings to be only focus on sharing emotions of our travel discoveries through pictures. On Wicard you will only have tips from people that you know as your friends and family or from people that you trust as bloggers, inlfuencers, media.
