Who Pays Technical Writers is a curated list of publishers, publication, and agencies that pay fair rates for great technical content. Anyone can submit a publication to be added to the list by clicking "suggest a resource."
There's a great site called http://whopayswriters.com operated by the Compensation Foundation. Its mission is to help journalists understand if they are being paid fair market rates for their work. However, their terms of service forbids adding rates from the types of technical publications that I write for. So, inspired but not associated with their site, I made my own.
If you are a software developer and want to get paid to write an article or a book, this site aims to be your most comprehensive resource on the opportunities available. You can find the perfect publication or publisher in minutes. Or, if you are looking for a steady source of side income, contact an agency on this list to get recurring writing work.
Please let me know if you have any publications to add to the site or any feedback on the design and feature set.
It is good to see a product that helps writers. As an added feature it would help me to have summaries or short descriptions of the publications you list. Many thanks and all the best.
